The best place to start is understanding how much room you have to play with. Are you using your existing bathroom foot print, or combining the bathroom and separate toilet into one? Start by running a tape around the room, and note down where the existing door way is, any windows and don’t forget to include the height of the room. Starting with the size of the room is going to allow you to understand how much room you have to play with, the size you can allow for your vanity unit, how many square meters of tiles you will need and so on. So don’t do anything until you know what you have to play with.

Next up… get inspired! As soon as you see a bathroom space you like the look of capture it or save a picture. Whether it be a Pinterest board dedicated to your bathroom reno or an album on your phone as long as you are keeping record of what you like, you are on the right track.
